Fertility and Pleasure: Bridging the Gap

  • The Loft at Lululemon 520 Broadway New York, NY (map)

Join us at lululemon SoHo on September 18th to expand our bodies and minds together to bridge the gap between fertility and pleasure. We have partnered with Kindbody and The Class By Taryn Toomey to create the space to take the stigma and fear away from fertility and sex positivity.

The evening will begin promptly at 7:00pm with Soeuraya Wilson leading us through The Class Relieve, which is a 20-minute, no-sweat option for those who want to efficiently clear the mind and flush heaviness from the body. By moving the body and witnessing the mind, participants feel a surge of endorphins that transitions into a cleansing of energy, sealed with anchoring breath work and meditation practice.

Upon reseting and connecting after The Class Relieve, we will dive into our panel discussion, curated by Melissa Rosenfield, founder and Director of Vibe of This Vibe Life. Our panelists Soeuraya Wilson, Tawny Lara, Krista Mays, and Dr. Fahimeh Sasan will work to bridge diverse perspectives on the important relationship between fertility, sex positivity, and wellness.

Your ticket includes lite bites and refreshments. Additionally, we have partnered with Kindbody to host complimentary fertility testing and education in our space from 3pm-7pm. This portion of the day is free and the full description can be found here.

Our amazing partners for this evening:

Kindbody: Kindbody is a modern day women's healthcare company helping women understand and take control of their fertility. We offer comprehensive fertility and wellness services in reimagined clinics, including their ovarian reserve assessments, egg freezing, IVF, wellness coaching, and therapy. We're on a mission to democratize and de-stigmatize women's health and fertility care through increased accessibility, awareness, and a better patient experience.

Dr. Fahimeh Sasan, Founding Physician, Kindbody: Dr. Fahimeh Sasan is the Founding Physician of Kindbody. Dr. Sasan did her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC and has been practicing and delivering clinical excellence for 12 years. She was rated one of the NY Times Top Doctors in 2016 and 2017 and is passionate about helping women better understand their fertility and their options for the future.

Krista Mays, Plus Size Model: Krista Mays is a Plus Size Model, based in New York City. Her fertility journey began in August 2018 when she found out her AMH levels were at .78, which is very low. Krista decided to freeze her eggs in November 2018 and again in January 2019 to preserve her chances of having children. Krista has 19 eggs currently frozen for future use. With the ability to take control of her future in regards to children, she has begun to explore options of how to get more involved in the fertility conversation. Her passion has been lit and she wants to educate, talk and help women make choices for themselves and their personal fertility journey.

The Class By Taryn Toomey x Soeuraya Wilson: The Class is a music driven practice where we exercise the body to engage the mind. Through physical conditioning, we “work out” mental and emotional behaviors to create new tools for experiencing life.

The Class Relieve: The Class Relieve is a 20-minute, no-sweat option for those who want to efficiently clear the mind and flush heaviness from the body.

Soeuraya Wilson: Soeuraya's love of teaching stems from her passion to motivate people in their bodies for purpose of strength and peace of mind vs for the attention and sake of others. She discovered The Class on a whim and, as you can say the rest is history. Her work with The Class started a powerful emotional journey that you can feel exude from her presence as you move with her in the studio.
